Ingredients
- Flour250 ml
- Oats250 ml
- Sugar250 ml
- Coconut250 ml
- Margarine190 g (reduced)
- Syrup30 ml
- Bicarbonate of soda5 ml
- Hot water10 ml
Method
- Melt the margarine and syrup.
- Add the dry ingredients and mix well.
- Add the bicarb dissolved in the hot water.
- Press flat in a baking tray.
- Bake at 180 °C for 8–10 minutes.
Notes
The original calls for ½ lb (227 g) margarine, with a later note: reduce the margarine to 190 g.
