Chilli Relish

Ingredients
- Vinegar125 ml
- Tomato paste45 ml
- Sugar15 ml
- Oil30 ml
- Salt10 ml
- Garlic cloves, crushed2
- Large onions, finely chopped3
- Chillies (red and green), finely chopped20–30
Method
- Mix everything together and bring to the boil.
- Simmer for about 1 hour, until most of the liquid has evaporated.
- Bottle while hot in sterilised bottles.
Notes
Lekker braai! Optional additions that worked well: 1 t (5 ml) smoked paprika, the juice of 1 lemon, and apple cider vinegar instead of plain vinegar.
