Ingredients

Method

  1. Fold all the ingredients together.
  2. Spoon into an oven loaf tin — do not press flat, leave it airy.
  3. Sprinkle cheese on top.
  4. Bake at 180 °C for 30–40 minutes.

Notes

If you can't get buttermilk, make your own: add 1–2 T (15–30 ml) white vinegar or lemon juice to 1 c (250 ml) milk, mix, and allow to stand for a while.
