Bacon Jam

Ingredients
- Bacon1 pack
- Large onion, finely diced1 (±375 ml)
- Jalapeño peppers3
- Garlic, crushed10 ml
- Brown sugar125 ml
- Apple cider vinegar80 ml
- Maple syrup60 ml
- Chilli powder5 ml
Method
- Cook the bacon until crispy; drain on paper towel.
- Use ¼ cup (60 ml) of the bacon grease to caramelise the onions and peppers.
- Add the garlic, sugar, vinegar, syrup and chilli powder, then the cooked bacon.
- Cook until thick and jammy.
