Apple Pie

Ingredients
- Pastry: flour150 g
- Pastry: sugar10 ml
- Pastry: saltpinch
- Pastry: butter, cubed105 g
- Pastry: egg1
- Filling: apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, raisins, lemon juice, pinch of salt, butterto taste
- Crumble: sugar100 g
- Crumble: cinnamon5 ml
- Crumble: butter60 ml
- Crumble: flour60 g
Method
- For the pastry, first mix the flour, sugar, salt and cubed butter with your fingertips; if too dry, add 1 T (15 ml) ice water. Then add the egg.
- Roll into a ball, cover with cling wrap and place in the fridge for at least 15 minutes.
- For the filling, cook the apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, raisins, lemon juice, pinch of salt and butter for 5–8 minutes.
- Roll out the pastry, line the pie dish and blind bake for 10 minutes.
- Add the filling.
- Top with the crumble (sugar, cinnamon, butter and flour rubbed together) and bake until golden.
