Apple Chutney

Ingredients
- Apples, peeled & diced1.5 kg
- Sugar (muscovado)750 g
- Raisins500 g
- Onions, finely chopped2 medium (±300 g)
- Mustard seeds10 ml
- Ground ginger10 ml
- Salt5 ml
- Cider vinegar700 ml
- Curry powder (optional)5 ml
Method
- Bring all the ingredients to the boil.
- Reduce the heat and simmer for about 40 minutes.
- Allow to cool, then transfer to jars.
Notes
The curry powder is optional — add it for a gently spiced chutney.
